THE HISTORY

Before it was a Gallery and Studio space for artists of all mediums, this pub was an important piece of Broken Hills history.

The Old Vic hotel (originally called The old Victorian) was opened on 21st January 1890. Brewery and pub owned by William James Finn. Transferred to H.A Williams in September 1890. Closed and poured its last drinks on 5th of April 1986. John King having the longest stretch of ownership for 15 years.

Annie Edwards 1908 to 1919 was the first Female owner and publican after her husband died:

This pub was home to the Centrals football club and had its first meeting at this hotel.
